创作背景

《The Climb》并不是特意为《乖乖女是大明星》这部电影其量身定
做的。该歌曲的创作人之一杰茜·亚历山大在接受媒体采访的时候，曾透露《The Climb》的灵感来源于一个早晨，在当时她正在和乔恩·美柏一起创作，这首曲子的旋律就浮现在她的脑海里。而在《乖乖女是大明星》开机之前，该影片的导演皮特·切尔森确实来纳什维尔找过他们。在听了《The Climb》之后，提出了让他们为电影创作原声的要求。于是她把《The Climb》录制成CD，数周后皮特回电，告诉她这首歌将作为电影插曲的主要部分。
