作为One Direction的首张专辑《Up All Night》的首单《What Makes You Beautiful》首战公告牌Hot 100第28名。
据评论网站Metacritic称，该专辑得到的几乎都是好评。《Up All Night》在英国专辑榜(UK Albums Chart)中空降亚军，一周内卖出138，631张，成为2011年英国最畅销专辑。该唱片在澳大利亚，克罗地亚，意大利，墨西哥，新西兰和瑞典的各大榜单中排在榜首，在二十个国家的年销量排名中都名列前十。自唱片在北美2012年3月发行以来，《Up All Night》在美国公告牌专辑榜（Billboard 200）和加拿大专辑榜(Canadian Albums Chart)均问鼎榜首，令One Direction成为第一支首张专辑就在国外榜单夺冠的英国组合。[1]
One Direction是五人组合，成员包括：Liam Payne，Louis Tomlinson，Niall Horan，Harry Styles和Zayn Malik。他们作为个人选手通过了The X Factor(英国偶像--一档英国选秀节目，由Simon创办)第七季（2010）选拔赛，进入了训练营，却没有成功进入男生组评委之家。在评委Nicole Scherzinger的提议下，五个青少年组成了一个组合，从而晋级并最终进入了决赛，成为了当季比赛的季军。通过The X Factor海选的偶像组合“One Direction”首单《What Makes You Beautiful》！这五个少年偶像的笑容就像青春年华里的最灿烂的阳光。
